Dr John Flett supports Little Heroes Foundation with exhibition

Over the past three years Dr John Flett (pictured below left at the opening of his exhibition) has been busy creating a collection of beautiful oil and watercolour paintings immortalising the vast landscapes of Australia of which he has given the fitting title of 'In Praise of Australia'.

The self taught artist has his works on display and available for purchase during January and February at the Pepper Street Arts Centre, with the proceeds made from each painting sold going directly to Little Heroes Foundation and their ChildFamilyCare programs.

Dr Flett, who has been a long-term supporter of the Foundation and has hosted similar exhibitions in the past, has used an eye-popping mix of colours to illustrate some of the landscapes that have captured his attention.

He is encouraging the public not to simply buy a piece from his collection, but make a donation to the Foundation and in turn be able to leave with a painting that they can hang with pride in their homes.

The 'In Praise of Australia' Exhibition will be on display until February 17, 2012, at the Pepper Street Arts Centre - 558 Magill Road, Magill.
